JUST THE PERSON
SO WHO AM I?Well, to put it bluntly, I'm a female who has had a mega rollercoaster of an emotional life so far, experiencing both the ups and spiralling downs, that loves from a very young age crafts, art, design and technology from the mighty lightbulb to robots and AI.All of which funnels down into games (and music) both in playing them on pc, console and board-game format, for my own entertainment but also with the appreciation of time, assets and development that go into them.+----------------+Growing up, I’ve pretty much been a People Pleaser for most of my life with a Quiet Voice and a Shy Stance, always Dreaming while People Watching but never quiet having the Confidence or Self-Esteem to push though; constantly feeling Overwhelmed with the world around me, while at the same time, wondering how others Judge me and then when times get tough feeling Depressed because it all, life in general, can seem to be too much, which is understandable considering every second of our lives is being or has been experienced for the first time.. Now, am I the only one experiencing this? No, and does this make me special? Not really, but it sure should make me feel familiar to you.Which is properly why I’m found watching many different subject matters on youtube from: How Tos, Lets Plays, Craft Remakes, Art, Textile and Room Renovation Challenges, Cosplays, LARP/Reenactment Experiences Renaissance Faires and Fae Balls to Let’s Test That, Wacky Engineering, Unboxing, Myths and Legends, UAPs, Space Exploration, and Technology Advancement in AR/VR, Gadgets, Computers and Robotics as well as Cultural videos of Language Students, Reaction vids for upcoming games and Social Dilemmas as well as those who choose to push their own Boundaries in Fears, Silliness and Adventure. which became and still is a life line for me since the pregancy (and horrid sickness that came with) when gaming just wasnt an option to pass time.FOR MORE OF A CAREER OVERVIEW CHECK OUT MY LINKEDIN PROFILE BELOW.
====================WHATS MY STORY?~ Born in England, Raised in Wiltshire and now Resides in Wales with my Husband and Son.~ Having attended Primary, Secondary and (3 Years in) College with 1 to 1 support and graduating with my highest subject an A-Level in Ceramics at grade D (which was only low due to an issue I have with being dyslexic, where sometimes I am not able to get down the words that swim in my head).~ I found solace in Games from strategy of Sid Meirs Civilisation, chaos like top down classic GTA and life simulation; TS2 along with music, that seemed to be the only way, I could express how I felt.~ Along with personal and business development, self-esteem and confidence workshops with a youth charity named Inner Flame in Swindon among others.~ Experienced the feeling of being Overwhelmed in many areas of life and along with that emotional Depression.. which very much lead me to stay at home in my room and on the pc since my early 20s.~ Life then changed after having moved out of my parents to my Granparents in Oxfordshire, and though I had evenually managed to have some jobs before this time.. the one I had in Oxfordshire was one of the best (in both pay and teamwork).. well, until I made the decision to leave..~ Shortly after this in 2019 (Before Covid even became a thing) and sadly on the morning after the passing of my Grandad (the wonderful) Leonard, I moved to Wales due to falling for a Welsh Man, That I met Online in a virtual world named Second Life.~ A few years on after having experienced two terrible pregnancies while looking after two dogs and early miscarriage (second dog came in after the miscarriage), along with a few relationship hiccups that i'm sure grief had its part in, we then had our Son by C-section, re-homed our pets and finally got married in 2023.Since all of this has lead me to understand how much more difficult it has been in keeping, making and following friendships, having compromised me-time to take on the responsibly of a parent and easily lose much more identity in self and independence.. that one could say is part of my motivation (well, as long as I have coffee running though my veins..)

WHAT'S YOUR GAME EXP?My Experience with Games has been Mixture, in that when I was young I used to take part in family games like the Jenga Tower, Card games like Rummy, Solitaire, and a game I made up called Highest or Lowest (Heyyy, I was 5 at the time, no judging) which later on in my college years turned towards SHED and was also taught a little in chess moves as well as my much preferred game of Checkers.Around other times, it would be Dominos or Monopoly and even my dad's favourite (and secretly mine and my brothers too) Dungons and Dragons the board game.This then transformed when computers where introduced to us at a young age, from there it was all about Minesweeper and Pinball to games we then had to install on our at the time; family, white and very retro computer.. (which if you read above, might know one of those games)which ultimately turned towards Consoles where I had play on an early Nintendo with Game Cartridge (Tennis was a favourite) as well as Xbox original (and a few of the other models) and a dance mat.. I also around this time, knew of the (blue) Cube and Playstation but hey sometimes you cant have everything..From then, I ended focused more on Windows PC, I mean Consoles where great and all.. but heh.. The Sims 2 it had my heart, in the school years (so sad, that when it the pc it ran on died, I was so out of the loop to know about The Sims 2, Ultimate Collection, that well, I never got it.) but hey I did play a few other games like Robin Hood of Sherwood, Bullfrogs; Theme Hospital and Theme Park.. as well as Maxis's Sim City 3000.. and possibly later a few Star Wars games like Battlefront and even Halo..Now with all of this gaming (and thats not even half of what ive played over the years) at some point, it had to slow down, which became more apparent when I was working in both shops/stores, werehouses, and factory (which I guess make those simulation games in those niches all the more appealing..) which was no different to when I was pregnant and as a mother with a young child of my own, time to game like I once did is very different, yet when I can, I still love it and hope in the future more games can be played with possibly both my husband and son as player 2 and 3!
====================CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT THESE VIRTUAL WORLDS?Sure, so as said I've been apart of IMVU and Second Life, these two by themselfs are very different one being more of a point and click to both move and position your avatar and the other using WASD (or arrow keys) to move your avatar within the virtual world and then interact on top of that with menus and buttons that surround the UI (short for User Interface).I used them as away for me to escape from myself, as if it didn't become apparent before, growing up I was very shy and well, kept to myself, especially since I didn't really go out. The reason, I wanted to be different and be able to experience life without anyone knowing who I was and honestly it worked.Well not straight away you had to keep logging in to explore rooms and (as SL by Linden Labs like to call them) sims and parcels. Sims being the square virtual lands (instead of EA and Maxis's term) within the social platform and well socialize with people.. which I guess is no more scary or exciting as meeting and having a conversation with someone in person and at the time (of my late teens to early 20s) that was a BIG step up from The Sims Franchise, as I was then going in 1st person.Now I'm not saying this is for everyone, and EVERYONE needs to go the virtual route to find friends, virtual family or even lovers; because well it can get rather dramatic and emotionally challenging online but for when I needed someone to talk to and feel comfortable to bloom out of who I was, to grow in life and create an extension to who I became as a person today, well I'd say it was totally worth the experience.Which I why I am a big supporter of virtual and social platforms cause no matter what life we live, to be social is very much to be human!So yeah if any of these names rings a bell with you, maybe we met online
